How to build an efficient and practical public dish?
1: Public number to clarify the purpose and structure of the menu
Make sure that your public menu wants to realize the functions, such as guiding users to read articles, providing services to make reservations, or jumping to mini programs.
Public number menus can be divided into first-level menus and second-level menus. The first-level menu can be set up to 3, and up to 5 sub-items can be set under each first-level menu.
2: Log in to WeChat Public Platform
Open your browser, access the WeChat public platform and log in to your public account. Find the “Menu Management” option in the navigation column on the left and click to enter.
3: Create menu
On the menu management page, you can see the button “+ menu”. Click the button to start creating a new menu. First add a first-level menu. You can name each first-level menu and select its kind of action (such as click events, jump to the web or jump to the applet, etc.).
Create click event
If you choose “click event”, you need to fill in the specific information about the event. For example, if you want the user to receive an automatic reply after clicking, you can enter the corresponding keyword in the “Event Name”; if you want to touch a function, fill in the corresponding function key values in the “Event KEY”.
Create jump page
If you choose “Skip the webpage”, you need to enter the address of the webpage you want the user to jump to in the “Page Website” column. It should be noted here that the redirected web page must be the already-released domain name.
Create jump applet
If you choose “Skip Mini Program”, you need to fill in the applet’s APPID and path information to ensure that the user can successfully jump to the corresponding applet page.
4: Set Level 2 Menu
For some first-class menus, you may also need to set more specific second-class menu items. The operation method is similar to setting a first-level menu, but the content is further refined based on the first-level menu.
5: Save and Publish
After completing all menu items, don’t forget to click the “Save and Publish” button, so your menu settings will take effect. After release, users can immediately see the updated menu.
